Check Schedule

To access this screen:

  • Activate the Schedule ribbon and select Validate >> Schedule.

After updating a schedule using the Update Schedule task, run the Check Schedule task to check for destination total or period capacity errors.

You define these settings per destination on the Check Schedule screen.

Activity Steps:

To configure destinations:

  1. Display the Check Schedule screen.

  2. In Destinations, select Total Capacity to view problems relating to the Maximum Capacity value specified on the Destinations screen.

  3. In Destinations, select Period Capacity to view problems relating to the Processing Capacity (per period) values specified on the Destinations screen.

  4. On the Update Schedule screen, select Destinations.

  5. On the Destinations screen, select a destination, then select Edit.

  6. On the Destinations: [Destination] screen, on the General tab, define values in the Maximum Capacity and Processing Capacity (per period) groups.

To configure Total Capacity:

  1. Display the Check Schedule screen.

  2. Select Total Capacity to display issues in the right-hand pane.

  3. In the right-hand pane, review Destination to identify the destination that exceeds Maximum Capacity.

  4. Review Capacity, Units, Actual and Difference to compare the limit with the scheduled quantity.

  5. Review Start and Finish to confirm the affected period.

  6. Review Loader and Sequence to identify the machine class and sequence associated with the issue.

To configure Period Capacity:

  1. Display the Check Schedule screen.

  2. Select Period Capacity to display issues in the right-hand pane.

  3. In the right-hand pane, review Destination to identify the destination that exceeds Processing Capacity (per period).

  4. Review Constraint to confirm the restriction set for the destination, for example Limited To: or Meet Exactly:.

  5. Review Capacity, Units, Actual and Difference to compare the per-period limit with the scheduled quantity.

  6. Review Start and Finish to confirm the affected period.

  7. Review Loader and Sequence to identify the machine class and sequence associated with the issue.

  8. If you need to cross-check the sequence, review the # column on the Activity Schedule screen for the relevant machine.
