Schedule from Stockpile - Stockpile Routes

Confirm stockpile routes parameters

Stockpile Routes

To access this dialog:

The Schedule Selected Blocks dialog's Stockpile Routes tab is used to confirm and refine the stockpile route parameters for the selected stockpiles.

Field Details:

The following fields are available in this dialog:

Period: select a period from the dropdown.

Stockpile Routes grid: this grid lists the stockpiles and their associated destination, haul truck and haul route parameters.

Stockpile Routes Grid Parameters

The available Destination depends on the Rock Types enabled in Destination Rocktype Settings. Your product requires that every Rock Type must be enabled for at least one Destination before the scheduler can be used.

The Haul Truck classes that are available in the drop down lists will depend on the Haul Truck Settings. Certain combinations of Loaders and Haul Truck classes can be set to model the typical fleet configurations of the site. For instance, certain combinations may not be allowed due to poor matching of loader capacity with haul truck capacity.

The Surface Sector is selected from the drop down list of possible Surface Sectors for the given Destination. An alternative Surface Sector can be selected if an alternative haul route exists.

The Dump Sector is optional and is selected from the drop down list of possible Dump Sectors for the given Destination. The Dump haul can also be modelled by entering an initial cycle time and an incremental cycle time in the Haul Route Settings.

The Truck Hours will be shown for the selected haul truck class and haul route. Changing any of the above parameters will change the haul truck hours.

Where Set All is shown in the TOTAL row the value can be selected from a drop down list. For example the drop down list for Haul Truck might include Cat789C and Cat793C. If Cat789C is selected then the Haul Truck class for all Categories will be set to Cat789C.

Haulage Calculation

Stockpile modelling haulage is calculated for Supply and  Reclaim activities. It works the same way as for dump haulage in that the Dump Sector is travelled along until the closest point to the Lift Entry block found, then the truck jumps over to the lift entry block and continues to travel over the blocks in a straight line. The settings here can be controlled in the same way i.e by Haul Factor, Rolling Resistance and Maximum Speed.

On Reclaim journeys it works much the same way as for mining blocks. Material travels from a Stockpile block to the Lift Entry point, onto the Dump Sector and off to the Destination.

IF multiple blocks are being reclaimed from, then a weighted average will be used to determine the Cycle Time.

Modifying the Stockpile Routes Grid Parameters

  1. In the Stockpile Routes grid, locate the required category's parameter,

  2. Using the relevant dropdown list, select the new parameter.
