Command Overview
Projects a string horizontally by a berm width to create new string.
Create a new string by projecting a string horizontally by a defined berm width. The Z coordinates of the points on the string remain unchanged. The X and Y coordinate points are altered depending on the berm width. If there is a selected string this string will be used, otherwise you are asked to select a string. This command is one of a suite of commands that can be used for road design. Depending upon the progress of the design the user may be asked to point to the high side of the string with the cursor. The new berm string is created on this side of the string. The berm width can be set using the command set-berm-width.
Tip: Whilst digitizing, you can complete the digitizing operation by double-clicking or double-tapping the final string vertex position. You can also complete the digitizing operation by closing the string.
