Configure the Plan Compliance Report

This activity is used to configure settings for the Plan Compliance Report.

The Plan Compliance report compares ground data of open pit extraction versus the predicted end-of-period surface for a given period . This is with respect to:

  • Material mined and planned.

  • Material mined but not planned (overbreak).

  • Material planned but not mined (underbreak).

Optionally, if a Pit Design Surface is specified, you can report an additional volume category:

  • Material mined, not planned but not designed.

Reports can either be generated based on 2 or 3 surfaces and (see above) data can also be produced where volume falls below a designed surface.

  • The report will, as a minimum, include a surveyed surface and a predicted end-of-period surface. This is referred to as a "report with 2 surfaces".

  • The report can include summary total extraction comparisons by specifying a topography. This is referred to as a "report with 3 surfaces".

  • The above report types can be enhanced by including a Pit Design Surface, thus making these report types:

    • "Report with 2 surfaces limited by design surface".

    • "Report with 3 surfaces limited by design surface".

This report is similar to the Design Compliance Report, which produces similar statistics from comparing extraction versus a pit design surface.

Activity Steps:

  1. Open the Settings screen.
  2. Select the Report Settings >> Compliance to Plan tab.
  3. Change the template used for the Plan Compliance PDF report by expanding the Current Plot Template list and selecting a template.
  4. To specify a plot template for a report with 2 surfaces, 3 surfaces, 2 surfaces limited by a design surface or 3 surfaces limited by a design surface, for the relevant section:
    1. Use the Manage Plan Compliance task to add, edit or delete a plot template.

    2. Select the Current Excel Template to format an output workbook, if generated.

Note: To add, edit or delete a plot template for the report with 2 surfaces, use the Manage Plan Compliance Excel task.

  5. Choose the data to be generated as part of the report using Preview options:

    • Datamine Report - if selected, generate a Datamine table containing summary statistics for the report.

    • Excel Report - if selected, generate a formatted Excel workbook containing data relating to actual pit extraction. This is formatted using the Current Excel Template.

    • PDF Report - if selected, generate a formatted PDF document using the Current Plot Template. This report presents the results of pit extraction within the reporting period.

    • Solids - if available, generate one or more 3D Datamine files representing the cut and fill volumes calculated by the report. This option is not available for all reports.

    • Plot - if available, create a Plot window sheet using the Current Plot Template. This option is not available for all reports.

    • File Explorer - if selected, automatically open a folder browser containing the results of the report once data generation has completed.

  6. Click OK to update report settings.

Subsequent PDF and Excel Reports (2 or 3 surfaces)are generated using selected templates, and data is generated for all selected Preview options.
