Scheduling Setup: Grade Constraints

To access this screen:

  • Display the Optimization task bar and select Optimization >> Scheduler >> Maroma >> Settings >> Grade Constraints.

Define grade constraints by destination for the Maroma scheduler.

For example, you may have two stockpile destinations for storage and reclaim of low grade Gold and medium grade Gold respectively, for the first 3 years of the schedule. To achieve this, define a grade constraint for each stockpile destination.

To define a grade constraint for a destination:

  1. Ensure all required destinations are configured in Economic Model Settings.

  2. Display the Grade Constraints screen.

  3. Select a Destination.

  4. Using the table on the right, enter the following grade constraint settings for the chosen destination:

    • End Period—The inclusive period up to which the grade constraint is applied for the destination.

    • Product/Element—The product relating to the grade constraint.

Note: Products are defined when the block model is initially imported.

    • Min Grade—The minimum grade required for material to be sent to the destination.

    • Max Grade—The maximum grade for the destination.

  5. Save your settings.
