Studio UG - Project Data Overview
Studio UG projects utilize a combination of reference and database files. Once a file is loaded, it becomes an 'object'. Visual object data (strings, wireframes etc.) is represented by one or more 'overlays'.

The Project Data control bar references managed data, that is, data that is used by your application's managed tasks. These tasks will consume and create managed data using a fixed folder structure, which your application populates as required.
Managed Databases
Your application is supported by multiple database structures, each of which appears as a 'node' in the data tree. Folders are only displayed if corresponding data can be found in the database.
