Configure a Contact Analysis Plot

The ContactPlot tab controls parameters for configuring the presentation of the contact analysis plot.

Activity Steps

  1. Display the graph.

    Note: Contact plots can be configured individually, by selecting a child component from the Project Tree, or collectively, by selecting the overarching contact analysis plot from the Project Tree.

  2. In the Property Panel, select the ContactPlot tab.
  3. Configure the following options as required.
    • Analysis Parameters field group:
      • Maximum Distance – Distance from the contact.
      • Number Of Bins – Number of bins that data is grouped into.
    • Graph field group:
      • Show Trend Lines
      • Value Type – Select which type of value the Trend Line plots from Mean and Median. Only available if Show Trend Lines is checked.
      • Line Colour – Colour of the Trend Line. Only available if Show Trend Lines is checked.
    • Show Sample Count – Display the sample count histogram on the contact plot.
    • Static Colours – Use static colours for the histogram on each side of the contact. Only available if Show Sample Count is checked. If unchecked, see how to Configure a Legend.
    • Left
    • Right
    • Colour Based on Trend Line – Colour the histogram based on the element concentration, rather than using static colours.
    • Show Raw Scatter Plot
    • Point Colour – Only available if Show Raw Scatter Plot is checked.
    • Point Symbol – Only available if Show Raw Scatter Plot is checked. Select from Circle, Cross, Plus, Dot and None.
    • Show Regression Lines
    • 5th Percentile
    • Regression Line
    • 95th Percentile
    • Show Boundary Statistics – Show the boundary classification statistics. See Contact Analysis Boundary Classification.

      Note: The boundary statistics should only be used as a guideline and should be considered with visual interpretation and geological knowledge.
