Colour 3D Data
Colouring data in the 3D window is important for differentiating between low and high values, or different domains. For more detailed information see the Configure the Colour Tab and Colour and Size Toolbar topics.
Note: The first time your data is loaded a colour key is automatically created for each new data column. These colour keys can be edited or new colour key can be created in the Colour Keys Window. See Create a Colour Key.
Select and Colour Data
Notes:
Auto-Colour must be enabled to select data columns.
Data is coloured as absolute values by default.
- Click the data component in the Project Tree.
- Select the 3D Viewer tab at the top of the Main Canvas.
- Select the Colour tab in the Property Panel.

Click the Field name of the data you want to display.
The data displays in the 3D viewer in the default colour key.
Tip: You can only display data in the 3D Viewer from one Field at a time, but you can display as many subsets of that data as you like. Click individual domain or assay categories in the second table in the Colour tab to view them individually, hold Ctrl and click to display multiple, or press Ctrl and A to display all.
- To use a different colour key, disable Auto-Colour Key and select a Key from the Colour and Size toolbar.
Colour Data as Percentiles
- Click the data component in the Project Tree.
- Select the 3D Viewer tab at the top of the Main Canvas.

Click the Colour by percentile values button on the Colour and Size Toolbar.
The 3D data displays as deciles and the decile colour ranges display in the Colour tab.
