Show Filtered-Out Data in the 3D Viewer

After setting up a filter you can use the 3D Viewer to get a sense of where the data that matches the filter is in relation to the unmatched data. This is done by showing unfiltered data through the Configure the Filter Tab or the 3D View Window.

Note: The colour and relative size of both the filtered and unfiltered data can be changed in the Filter tab.

Activity Steps

  1. Click the data component in the Project Tree.
  2. Select the 3D Viewer tab at the top of the Main Canvas.
  3. Select the Filter tab in the Property Panel.
  4. Check Show unfiltered.

Data that does not match the active filters displays in grey.

Tip: To make it easier to see which data matches the filter and which data does not, enable the Monochrome field in the Filter tab. This uses the same strong colour for all data that has passed the filter. This can be particularly useful when scrolling through a series of filters.
