View Multiple Data Sources with the 3D Viewer
To view multiple data sources in 3D, you have to open a 3D window and add components with 3D data to the window. You can then view, colour and filter data sets individually or as a group.
Note: You can add numerous additional 3D windows and that there is no limit to the number of data sets you can view in any 3D windo
There are three ways to add multiple data sources to the 3D Viewer.
- Drag and drop – drag and drop data components from the Project Tree directly into a 3D window.
- Menu – Right click a data component with XYZ columns and select Add to 3D » 3D window of choice.
- Colour Tab – Double click the empty cell at the bottom of the Name column of the data source table in the Configure the Colour Tab and select a data source from the window.
Note: A 3D window with multiple 3D data sources always uses spatial columns for the XYZ directions. You cannot change these in the axes property tab.
