Viewing and Updating Job Status

Overview

Jobs progress from registration through batching (optional), analysis, reporting, invoicing and eventual archiving. During this time, a laboratory manager wants to know the state of jobs in the laboratory, where they are up to in their life-cycle.

This process is pertinent to front office personnel, laboratory managers, QC managers and supervisors who manage laboratory workflow and generate status reports.

Process

Job status is accessed for a selected job from the Jobs application.

Viewing and Updating the Status of a Job

Any sample details, including sample result fields, can only be included in a status report if the job has had its analytical result records created.

Note: At any time when viewing job status, press the F5 function key to refresh all job details.
