Export Hole Properties

You can export properties for all holes selected or displayed in the Viewport. The data is exported as a .csv file (see File Formats).

Export templates are saved in the mine site database rather than as external files.

Access hole property exporting:

  1. Select the Design, Drill, Measure, Charge or Initiation module.
  2. Select patterns in the DataBlast Items Tree as required to display the holes for which to export the properties.

    Note: If you only want to export properties for a subset of the holes in a the displayed drill patterns, see Select Objects in the Viewport or Filter Displayed Holes.

  3. On the Utilities/View Ribbon Menu, select Export Data.

    The Export Hole Pattern Data screen displays.

To create and save an export template:

  1. Click New Template.

    The Hole Properties Export Template screen displays.

  2. Enter the Name. Template names cannot be reused.
  3. Click OK.

    Note: As you update the following settings, the bottom table displays a preview of the data to be exported.

  4. Select whether to Include Headers.
  5. Select the Field Delimiter from Comma, Tab, Space and Semicolon; or enter a character for Other.
  6. Select the Decimal Separator from Period and Comma; or enter a character for Other.

    Note: The Thousands Separator is read-only.

  7. For each required property:
    1. Drag the property from the Available Columns list to the Columns to Export table.
    2. Update the Heading if required.
    3. Enter or select the Format if required.

      Note: The format is only applicable for numerical, date/time and boolean properties. The drop-down list has example formats, but you can enter other formats if required. For example, you can enter T:F as an alternative to true:false or y:n for a boolean property.

  8. To remove an export property, either drag the property back to the Available Columns list; or:
    1. Select the property in the Columns to Export table.
    2. Click Remove Selected Column.
  9. To set a sort order for the data, drag a property from the Available Columns list to the Sort By table.

    Note: You can sort by multiple properties. The properties by which data is sorted do not need to be included in the export. The default sort order is ascending (ASC). Click ASC to change to descending (DESC) if required.

  10. To remove a sorting property:
    1. Select the property in the Columns to Export table.
    2. Click Remove Selected Sort Column.
  11. To reorder export properties or sorting properties, click and drag the column by the Columns to Export or Sort By cell for the property in the table.
  12. To save the template, click Save Template.
  13. To save the template with a new name:
    1. Edit the Template Name.
    2. Click Save Template.

To load an export template:

  1. Click Load Template.

    The Hole Properties Export Template Selection screen displays.

  2. Select the template.
  3. Click OK.

    The bottom table displays a preview of the data to be exported.

To export hole properties:

  1. Create or load an export template.
  2. On the Export ribbon menu, click Export Data.
  3. Browse for a file location and enter a file name for the .csv file as required.
  4. Click Save.
