Import a Collar Survey
You can import collar surveys from an external system if the data is in a .csv or .txt file. See File Formats.
This video, recorded using an earlier version of DataBlast Pro, provides an example of how to import collar survey data.
Activity Steps
- Select the Drill module.
- Select a drill pattern in the DataBlast Items Tree.
The drill pattern displays in the Viewport.
- Either select the drill pattern boundary or a subset of the holes. See Select Objects in the Viewport.
- On the Drill Ribbon Menu, click Import Collar Survey.
The Collar Survey Import screen displays.
- Click the ellipsis (...) to browse for and select the data file in .csv or .txt format.
The data displays as a table.
Note: This file should contain one row or line of data per hole. The expected data is the hole ID and the coordinates of its collar location. There should not be a row with column headers.
- Update the following parameters as required.
- Field Delimiter—Select from Comma, Tab, Semicolon and Space; or enter a character for Other.
- Decimal Separator—Select from Period and Comma; or enter a character for Other.
- Thousands Separator—Select from None, Period and Comma; or enter a character for Other.
- Unit of Measure—Select from Millimetres, Centimetres, Metres, Kilometres and Feet.
- For each column in the table, right-click the column header area and select the data type from:
- Hole ID
- Easting (X)
- Northing (Y)
- RL (Z)
Note: Columns without a selected data type are not imported.
- Click Import.
Note: If a hole in the imported data has not yet been flagged as drilled, the Action Date/Time screen displays with options to set the drilled date and time. See Change the Drilled Status of Holes.
- Click Save Changes.
