Maintain Drill Pattern Types

Access drill pattern maintenance:

  1. On the DataBlast Application Menu, select Site Maintenance.

    The Site Maintenance screen displays.

  2. Select the Mine Site » Drill Pattern Types node.

    The Drill Pattern Type Maintenance Ribbon Menu displays.

To create a drill pattern type:

  1. Click Add Drill Pattern Type.
  2. Enter the Name.
  3. Complete the following fields.
    • Backfill Check Percentage—The percentage of holes to be marked for remeasurement in the backfill sheet. Set to 100% if all holes that need backfilling are to be checked. The holes to be checked are selected randomly and are highlighted in the backfill data entry sheet. See Enter Backfill Data. This functionality requires a backfill pattern; therefore, is not applicable if Simplified Backfill is checked in the mine site settings. See Advanced Mine Site Settings.
    • Active—Whether the drill pattern type can be selected when creating a drill pattern.
    • Report In-Spec Tolerance
    • Upper Load Tolerance—When entering drill log data or dip data, holes that are short by more than this tolerance are highlighted in red. See Enter Drill Log Data and Enter Dip Data.
    • Lower Load Tolerance—Used to determine whether a hole needs to be backfilled. When entering drill log data or dip data, holes that are long by more than this tolerance are highlighted in blue.
    • Drill Log Entry Form—Select from the defined drill log entry templates. See Maintain Measurement Entry Templates.
    • Dip Entry Form—Select from the defined dip entry templates.
    • Backfill Entry Form—Select from the defined backfill entry templates.
  4. Click Save Changes.

To deactivate a drill pattern type:

Note: You cannot deactivate a drill pattern type that is in use.

  1. Uncheck Active for the drill pattern type.

    The drill pattern type displays with strike-through text.

  2. Click Save Changes.
