Add a Calculated Text Field

To access this screen:

  1. Display the Text Fields screen.

  2. Select a text field. The Formula table appears on the right.

Activity steps:

  1. Use the Apply to Tasks list to choose the scope of the formula:

    • Choose All Tasks to apply the formula to all tasks, even those not in progress.

    • Choose In Progress to apply the formula to only tasks that are in progress.

  2. Enter the Formula using the drop down arrow to reveal the Formula Builder screen.

    A successfully validated formula triggers the creation of a new empty table row, allowing another formula to be added if required.

    Note: Reorder the formula (the order in which the formulae are appled) using the up and down arrows on the right of the screen.

  3. Use Locked to protect the formula field from accidental deletion of editing (check) or leave it unlocked to allow in-cell editing (uncheck).
