Manage Ad Hoc Actions
To create an ad hoc actions:
- Navigate to the asset you wish to create an action for.

Open the Edit ... Actions screen by doing one of the following:
- Right-click the row selector of the applicable asset and select Create Action from the menu.

In the Details Pane of the asset, in the Actions tab, click New.
The Edit ... Actions screen displays.
Note: Ad hoc actions can be created for Related Data Tab creating the action within the child table. Once created, these actions display on the assets Actions tab. When clicked, the Linked Row column displays the related data that the action relates to.

Select the Action to Create from Ad Hoc and any other ad hoc action templates that have been configured and match the asset type. See Edit and Create Action Definitions.
Note: When ad hoc is selected, one task is added to the task list. More tasks may display when they are pre-defined actions.

Update the Action Name.

Enter the Amount if required.

Enter Comments if required.

Update the Start Date.

Update the Deadline Date.

Select whether this is a Recurring Action.

If Recurring Action is checked, select the Interval, Pattern and Date Range as required.
LandTracker updates the Calculated Deadline Dates.
Important: LandTracker creates a maximum of 5 future instances or 60 months of the action. Override this in Application Settings if required. When you Update and Audit Actions, LandTracker generates new instances of the action up to these maximums.

Edit the action task(s):

Update the Days Before Deadline or the Task Date as required.
LandTracker calculates the other date.

Enter the Task Description.
Important: If you delete all task rows and save the action, the action exists and is marked as completed.

- To delete an action task, right-click its row selector and select Delete from the menu.
- Click Save and Close.
To edit a recurring ad hoc action:

In the Actions section of the Dashboard click Manage Recurring Actions.
A window displays all current recurring ad hoc actions in a data grid on the left. Details of a selected action are in the details pane on the right.

In the data grid select the action to edit.

Choose from the following options:

To change the cycle:
- Change the interval if required.
- Change the pattern if required.

To change the amount:
- In the data grid in the Amount column enter new Amount.

To stop the recurrence:
- In the details pane in the Date Range section enter date in the Ending By field.

Click Update Instances.
Note: This applies changes to existing actions in the recurrence, excluding those that have been started or completed.
A change tracking window opens and a message displays the number of changes being made. See Change Tracking.

Click OK.

Click Save Updates.
A window displays the number of rows being updated.

Click Save Changes.

In the manage recurring actions window click Save or Save and Close.
To delete a recurring action:

In the Actions section of the Dashboard click Manage Recurring Actions.
A window displays all current recurring ad hoc actions in a data grid on the left. Details of a selected action are in the details pane on the right.

In the data grid select the action to be deleted.

In the details pane click Delete All Instances.
Important: This deletes all actions, including started and completed.

Click Save or Save and Close.
To rename a recurring action:
Changing the name of a recurrence does not change the name of the action. You must stop the recurrence and create a new action.
