Dashboard

The main screen of LandTracker is the Dashboard. When you start the LandTracker application, the Dashboard displays.

Dashboard Appearance

If you are connected to your default database, the background colour of the Dashboard is pale blue. If you are connected to a non-default database, the background colour of the Dashboard is salmon orange. See Database Management.

Dashboard Layout

The Dashboard has the following sections:

  • Global Filter Bar—Located at the top.
  • Functional modules—Located in the middle panel.
  • Administrative modules—Located on the right.
  • Status Bar—Located at the bottom.

Global Filter

The Global Filter filters the assets displayed in any screen. For most LandTracker screens, the name of the current global filter displays in the screen's title bar.

The Global Filter Bar also displays the current LandTracker version.

Functional and Administrative Modules

Your company's LandTracker licence and your permission levels may limit which modules and links you can access. See User Management and Permissions. On the Dashboard:

  • If a link is black, you can access that functionality.
  • If a link is black with an eye icon beside it, you can view the data but cannot make any changes.
  • If a link is grey, you cannot access that functionality.

You can use the arrow in the top-left of any module to minimise its display, or to expand it again.

Some modules may include links to custom views. See Manage Custom Views. Available views display alphabetically under the module's activity links and are marked with a View icon.

Status Bar

The Status Bar includes buttons to Change the Size of Text and to Send Feedback.

The Status Bar also includes your database connection details and status messages. For example, when you start LandTracker, your registration is validated and the confirmation displays in the Status Bar. To see previous recent status messages, click the arrow at the right end of the Status Bar.
