Manage Recurring Comments

Use a recurring comment when you need a comment applied to all future instances of an action type for a particular asset. For more details on comments, see Manage Data Grid Record Comments.

To add a recurring comment to a series of actions:

  1. On the Dashboard, go the required module and click View ... Actions.
  2. In the data grid select the first action to which to apply the comment.

    Important: The action must be incomplete and not overdue.

  3. Right-click the row selector and select Add Comment from the menu.

    A message box displays.

  4. Enter one of the following prefixes:

    • +—Indicates normal priority recurring comment; colour-coded green.
    • !+—Indicates medium priority recurring comment; colour-coded yellow.
    • !!+—Indicates high priority comment; colour-coded red.
  5. Enter the comment after the prefix.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Click Save and Close.
  8. Update and Audit Actions.

To update an existing recurring comment:

  1. On the Dashboard, in the required asset module, click View ... Actions.
  2. Navigate to the first instance of the comment on an incomplete action.
  3. Click theComment and enter new text.
  4. Click Save and Close.
  5. Update and Audit Actions.

To delete a recurring comment:

  1. On the Dashboard in the required asset module, click View ... Actions.
  2. Highlight the rows containing the comment, right-click the row selector and click Delete Comment in the menu. See Filter Data in a Data Grid.
  3. Click Save or Save and Close.
