Link a Document to an Asset or Action
Important: LandTracker stores file locations, not the actual file. When files are moved, you must update the links. See Replace Document Links.
Note: You can import document links to LandTracker from an Excel spreadsheet. See Import Document Links From a Spreadsheet.
To link to a document on a network drive or PC:
- Open the Asset Browser of your action or asset.
- Select the applicable action or asset in the Data Grids.

In the Details Pane click the Documents tab.

To add files by searching your computer:

Click Add Files.
A file explorer opens

Select the file(s) you wish to link and click Open.
The file(s) display as links under the Documents tab.

To add files by dragging and dropping:

Drag the document from your Windows File Explorer onto the Documents tab.
The file(s) display as links under the Documents tab.

Click Save or Save and Close.
To link a document using a URL:
- Open the Asset Browser of your action or asset.
- Select the applicable action or asset in the Data Grids.

In the Details Pane click the Documents tab.

Click Add URL .
A pop up window opens.

Enter URL.

Click OK.
The URL displays as a link.
