Asset Browser
Use the Asset Browser to browse and edit the assets in your database.
The Asset Browser has the following sections:
- View and search panels—Located on the left.
- Data grid—Located in the middle.
- Details pane—Located on the right by default, but can be moved to display below the data grid. See Details Pane. Some tabs in the details pane also display data as data grids.
Between these sections are window pane sliders. You can drag these sliders to adjust the relative size of the three sections.
To open the Asset Browser:
- On the Dashboard, as required for the data type, perform one of the following steps.
- In the Actions menu, click View Actions.
- In the Tenements menu, click View Tenements.
- In the Agreements menu, click View Agreements.
- In the Environmental menu, click View Environmental Data.
- In the Groups menu, click View Groups.
- In the Contacts menu, click View Contacts.
Asset Browser View Panel
Views in LandTracker are pre-defined sets of data that display a list of records in a data grid. The view panel displays system-generated and custom views that are applicable to the context. For example, if you are viewing contacts, the Asset Browser only displays views that are applicable for contacts and contact links.
If you hover your mouse pointer over a view name, a tooltip displays its comments. If the view was created after customising the display of the data grid (see Manage Custom Views), the tooltip also displays the view's list of filters and saved sorting order. If the view was configured using a SQL script (see Configure Views), the tooltip only displays the comments.
See Views for more information.
Asset Browser Search Panel
The search panel allows you to search the data grid for full or partial text.
Asset Browser Data Grid
The view selected on the view panel filters the list of rows in the data grid.
If a column header has a white background, you can edit the data in that column. The column headers of read-only columns have a pale orange background colour.
See Data Grids for more information.
Asset Browser Details Pane
The details pane displays the detailed information for the selected row in the data grid.
See Details Pane for more information.
