Import or Export a Scenario

As well as defining scenarios in MSO, you can also import scenario settings from colleagues, or export your scenario settings for them to use. This can be a useful way to adopt standard stope optimization settings throughout a department.

You can import scenario data from both 'old' (pre version 5) and 'new' (post version 5) MSO versions.

Warning: Once a legacy scenario has been imported in MSO 5.0 or later, it will no longer be possible to load that scenario into a version prior to 5.0.

Note: Every effort is made to ensure XML settings files aren't tied to a particular version, however, sometimes this is unavoidable to support new features. We'll let you know if this happens.

To export the current scenario settings

  1. Display the Manager sidebar.

  2. Select the scenario containing settings to export.

  3. Click Export:

  4. Select a location to store the output XML settings file.

  5. Enter a file name (the file extension is not required).

Settings are exported to the external file.
