Create a New Scenario

All MSO settings are stored as a scenario. When you process an MSO run, settings stored in the selected scenario are used to generate optimal stope shapes and reports.

To create a new, empty scenario

  1. Display the Manager sidebar.

  2. Click +.

    A scenario called "Scenario1" appears.

  3. Type in a scenario name.

    Tip: Consider a consistent naming convention for scenarios so they are easier to distinguish in the Manager sidebar and Scenario Summary screen (for example, Mod1_AU_Slice_Adv_Oct26).

    The scenario initially appears with a warning icon to indicate essential scenario parameters are absent on the Block Model screen. Once a model, optimization field, density field and defaults are set, this warning will disappear.

    Important: A scenario name must be unique for the project.

  4. Save your settings either by:

    • Clicking Save on the left of the panel. This saves ALL scenarios listed with the latest settings.

    • Clicking Save on the right of the panel. This saves the currently active scenario settings only.

To create a copy of an existing scenario

  1. Display the Manager sidebar.

  2. Select the scenario to copy.

  3. Click Copy:

    A copy of the target scenario is added to the list.

  4. Rename the scenario.

  5. Save your settings.
