Enter Mine Source and Stockpile Survey Data Using a Survey Editor

A survey editor must already be set up for the mine sources or stockpiles. See Set up a Survey Editor. The settings on the Survey Editor Configuration screen affect the survey in the following manner:

  • The contributor details only display if Show Contributors Section is checked and contributors have been specified in the Contributors field group.
  • The analyte details only display if Show Analytes Section is checked and analytes have been specified in the Analytes field group.
  • If Edit Contributor As Tonnage is unchecked, ensure that the total percentage of all contributors is 100%.
  • If Edit Contributor As Tonnage is checked, ensure that the sum of the tonnage for each contributor adds up to the total tonnage.

Security Note: You need the Allow stockpile survey maintenance security right in the Stockpiles domain security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

  1. Open the Survey Editor.
  2. Select the Survey tab.
  3. Select the Survey Date.
  4. If Display All Stockpiles For Locations During Data Entry is unchecked in the survey editor, select the mine sources and stockpiles in the Stockpile Filter.
  5. Click Refresh in the survey editor.

Note: Mine sources and stockpiles that are closed at the survey date do not display in the survey editor.

  6. To update quantities, enter the Quantity, Comment and Reason Code for each stockpile. For the reason code, select from the Survey Reason Code list items defined in the List Editor.

Note: Quantities can only be entered for stockpiles; not for mine sources. Comments and reason codes can be entered for mine sources and stockpiles.

  7. To update contributors:
    1. Enter the contribution Value for the survey, for each predefined or dynamic contributor in the contributor group, for each mine source or stockpile.

If Edit Contributor As Tonnage is checked in the survey configuration, the contribution displays as tonnes. Otherwise, the contributions display as percentages.

    2. Enter the Yield of the contribution for the survey, as a percentage of the total material supplied by the contributor, for each predefined contributor in the contributor group, for each mine source or stockpile.

Default: Yield defined for the contributor in the contributor group at the date on or preceding the survey date.

Only applicable if the contributor group has been configured to Calculate Yield Based Contributors.

  8. To update quality, enter the Result of each analyte, for each mine source or stockpile.
  9. Click Save.

Note: If the Survey Configuration History status definition exists, the survey is assigned the initial status. This status definition controls whether the survey is editable and selectable. See Status Definitions.
