Enter 3D Transaction Sample Data via the 3D Transaction Viewer

This activity is only applicable if the process flows in the transaction template have sample templates assigned to them. See Set up a Transaction Editor and Assign a Sample Template to a Material Flow.

Security Note: You need the Allow the user to open the 3D stockpile viewer security right in the 3D user group security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

  1. Open the 3D Transaction Viewer for the stockpile.
  2. Select the required transaction in the Transactions table.

    Note: If the required transaction does not display, Find Transactions in the 3D Transaction Viewer.

  3. Select the Samples tab.
  4. To create a sample:
    1. Expand the Samples tree.

      The sampling templates that have been defined and assigned to the process flow used to create the 3D transaction display.

    2. Right-click the sample template and select New from the menu.
    3. To rename the sample:
      1. Right-click the sample and select Rename from the menu.
      2. Update the sample name.
  5. To formally request results for the sample:
    1. Select the sample in the Samples tree.
    2. Complete the following fields.
      • Results Requested
      • Comment
  6. To enter the sample results:
    1. Select the sample in the Samples tree.
    2. If results were formally requested, check Results Received to indicate their availability.
    3. Enter the Value for each analyte definition.

      Note: You can Change the Default Analytes Displayed for Sample Data Entry. Press Tab or Enter to move between cells when entering sample data. Use Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V to copy and paste data into the table. Data is pasted into cells from left to right for rows, and top to bottom for columns.

  7. Click Save.

    Note: If the Sample status definition exists, the sample is assigned the initial status. This status definition controls whether the sample is editable and selectable. See Status Definitions.
