Enter Certificate Details for a Despatch

This activity is applicable to trains, truck despatches and shipments, and presumes that a despatch order has been added to the despatch.

Security Note: For a shipment, you need the Allow shipment maintenance security right in the Shipments domain security rights group for this activity. For a truck despatch or train, no specific security right is required.

Activity Steps

  1. Open the Train, Truck Despatch or Shipment.
  2. Select the route point within the Route Diagram where the loading or unloading occurred.
  3. Select the Certificate tab; or for a shipment, the Certificate sub-tab of the Marketing tab.
  4. Select the Despatch Order to which the certificate applies. Select from the despatch orders associated with the despatch.
  5. Enter the Certificate Number and Certificate Date.
  6. Select the Unit in which the certificate quantities will be entered.
  7. Select the analyte bases and as-received-conversion analytes that will be used for data entry in the Entries field group.

The bases are specified on the Basis List tab of the Sales Contract or Purchase Contract.

The conversion analytes are specified in the Basis Editor.

For example, if the contract specifies Wet and Dry as bases, and moisture is the conversion analyte between these bases, data can be entered for two of the values and MineMarket calculates the third value.

  8. Right-click in the Certificate Values table and select New from the menu to create as many certificate lots as required. Each certificate lot includes all analytes that are in the despatch order's specifications.

Note: If the Settlement Type specified for an analyte in the contract assay rules is By Composite Sample, an analyte value can only be entered for the first lot of the certificate.

  9. Update the certificate lot Name if required.
  10. To add an analyte:
    1. Right-click in the Certificate Values table and select Add Sample Analyte from the menu.
    2. Select the analyte from the analytes defined in the Analyte Definition Editor.

If the selected analyte has a Base Analyte specified in the contract assay rules, the base analyte is also added to the certificate. If a value is entered for the base analyte, the value of the assayed analyte is calculated.

  11. If despatch order specifications have new analytes since the creation of the certificate, right-click in the Certificate Values table and select Add Analytes From Specs from the menu.
  12. If there are multiple certificate lots and the quantities for an analyte should be entered as a composite value, right-click the analyte and select Is Composite from the menu.

Note: If the Settlement Type specified for the analyte in the contract assay rules is By Composite Sample, analyte entry on the certificate is composite by default.

  13. To change the unit of measure for a sample analyte:
    1. Right-click the analyte in the Certificate Values table and select Set UOM from the menu.
    2. Select the unit of measure from the Proportion units defined in the Unit Conversion Editor.

Note: Changing the unit of measure does not convert any analyte quantities that have already been entered.

  14. Enter values for the selected bases, conversion analytes and additional sample analytes in the Certificate Values table.

If a basis is not selected in the Entries field group, the basis is read-only. However, the value is calculated if data is entered for a related basis and the required conversion analytes.

If a conversion analyte is not selected in the Entries field group, the conversion analyte is read-only. However, the value is calculated if data is entered for the two bases for which it is the conversion analyte.

Note: Analyte results that have been included in an assay exchange display in bold and cannot be edited or deleted.

  15. To archive the current certificate results and to allow a re-assay, click Re-Assaying.

Archived certificate results can be viewed by selecting the previous Certificate Number.

Note: Archived certificate results are not used, and cannot be un-archived.

  16. To delete an existing certificate:
    1. Select the Despatch Order to which the certificate applies.
    2. Click Delete Certificate.

Note: If the certificate includes one or more analyte results that have been included in an assay exchange, the certificate cannot be deleted.

  17. Click Save.
