Sales and Marketing
MineMarket connects the mine to the customer through comprehensive management of complex contracts, including freight and service contracts. Its robust sales and marketing capability also enables credit management, contract linking, settlement, tolling and invoicing, all in the one platform.
Sales and marketing manages the financial aspects of the supply chain. The focus of the module is to manage various types of existing contracts configured between sellers and buyers. These contracts specify the rules for pricing, the setting up of quotas, the raising of despatch orders, and definition of contractual specifications, settlement rules and payment terms. The contracts also define the generation of multiple types of invoices.
Sales and marketing can simulate very intricate and complex contract rules. Depending on the type of product being sold, the pricing methods can be based upon product pricing or payable analytes. Prices can be based on fixed quotation periods (QPs), predefined QPs, fixed pricing or any other complex formulae using the Expression Editor. Multiple currencies and exchanges rates, price series and the specification of pricing decimals for rounding are also defined in the contract configuration.
Payable analyte calculations can include payable percentages, fixed and minimum deductions, price sharing, price participation and refining charges. Other features include settlement rules for dispute resolution, the applying of contract and service charges and tax, source and destination freight parities and the specification of payment terms and contract options.
Invoicing can take into account ownership by different parties, payments and receipting, account ledgers and journals.

How do Other MineMarket Modules Impact Sales and Marketing?
Inventory Tracking impacts sales and marketing:
- If you associate bulk transactions or discrete unit movements with a despatch order, those transactions or movements affect the values in the despatch order snapshot.
- You can use Production and Demand Planning and Supply and Demand Planning to schedule and modify despatch orders.
Transportation and Logistics impacts sales and marketing:
- If you add a despatch order to a despatch, the loading and unloading weights and sample results on the despatch affect the values in the despatch order snapshot.
- The time shipments spend in port can impact demurrage/despatch values included in invoices.
- Despatch Line-ups may help you schedule when you can deliver material to your customers.
Commodity Trading and Risk Management (CTRM) impacts sales and marketing:
- Hedging despatch orders, despatch order quotation pricing (QP) lines, quota QPs, invoice instalments and repurchase actions can help manage exposure risk.
- Hedging profit or loss can be included in invoicing via a contract charge.
System Administration impacts sales and marketing:
- Units of Measure define units, conversion factors and numbers of decimals for rounding. However, contract terms can include further rounding configuration.
- The Analyte Measurement Basis may include non-default bases that can be used as the mass basis for sales and purchase contracts.
- Status Definitions may control the editability and selectability of bank accounts, sales and purchase contracts, sets of contract terms and invoices.
- User Preferences and Settings may impact object names, date formats, traceability displays, and settings for contributors, samples and 3D stockpile modelling.
- Domains may limit the visibility of objects.
- Security rights for User Groups may limit who can complete which activities in MineMarket.
- Scripting may impact which fields are required and what happens when objects are saved.
