Haulage Sources

To access this screen:

  • Optimization control bar >> Scheduler >> Haulage Info and select the Haulage Sources tab.

Define truck parameters for each material source (mine and/or stockpiles).

Each rock type or processing method should have a valid haulage destination.

If some of the destinations have limited storage capacities, you should ensure that, in total, there is enough capacity to accommodate the combined rock mass; otherwise, scheduling will be aborted before completion.

Note: Each mine can use its own truck type. Stockpiles can use their own truck type and these can be different from the mine truck types.

To define material source truck parameters:

  1. Display the Haulage Sources screen.

  2. Using the Material is hauled from list, set from where the material is hauled (a mine, a stockpile or external source).

  3. Where two truck types were specified before opening this screen, choose if the parameters are being defined For ore carrying truck or For waste carrying truck (not available for stockpiles). For non-stockpile sources, parameters are defined independently for each scenario.

  4. Define the truck parameters for the selected material source and truck type:

    • Reference speed – Must be a positive value.

    • Avg Wait at Load Point (min) – Can be zero.

    • Loading Time (min) – Can be zero.

    • Dumping Tim (min) – Can be zero.

    • Additional Wait Time (min) – Can be zero.

    • Truck Availability (%) – Must be a value between 1 and 100.

    • Truck Size (tonnes) – Must be a positive value.

  5. Define the following ramp parameters.

Note: These can be zero for stockpile sources.

    • Down Ramp Speed (km/h) – Maximum speed going down the ramp. Must be a positive value for non-stockpile sources.

    • Ramp Gradient (%) – Ramp gradient in %. Must be between 1 and 50 for non-stockpile sources.

    • Up Ramp Speed (km/h) – Maximum speed going up the ramp. Must be a positive value for non-stockpile sources.

  6. Review and (if required) edit other haulage settings using other tabs.

  7. Click OK and save your project.
