Break Strings at Intersections
Using this autolayout action:

Using the Edit Automated Design Rules dialog, select [Break at Intersections] from the Action drop-down list.
This autolayout action will break all qualifying design string data at the intersection point of any other string data. Intersections must be coincident in all axes.
There is no Output Design Definition for this autolayout action as existing data is being modified).
Break Strings at Intersections Example

In the following example, two sets of strings are shown in a filtered view:
The string that will be modified is the X-Cut (shown above in green). The data is shown in an XZ plane but the intersections occur in all directions. -
The results of the Break at Intersections action are shown below with the start points of the strings indicated by the large circles. These strings could then be trimmed at either end to tidy them up as pillar strings.
