Tools Ribbon


The Tools ribbon provides access to commonly-used commands and functions that support the various views in DTS>


Group Description

Scheduler

Calculate F9 - select this button to re-calculate the schedule. See Calculate.

Update Project - opens the Update Project screen below. This option is disabled in the Crosstab View and Resource Bar Chart. See Update Project.

Leveling

Level F10 - this option opens the Resource Leveling form, which allows you to set the options for resource leveling. The F10 also opens the Resource Leveling screen. See Resource Leveling.

Clear Leveling - select this option to undo the current resource leveling. See Clear Leveling.

Prev. Over allocation - scroll to the previous over-allocation of the currently selected resource.

Next Over allocation - scroll to the next over-allocation of the currently selected resource.

Solver

Run EPSolver F11 - start the Solver Optimisation Module. The F11 key also invokes the Solver module. This option is only available if a Licence has been purchased. 

Tools

Generate Work Packages/Tasks - select to generate secondary tasks and work packages. This option is disabled in the Crosstab View and Resource Bar Chart. See Generate Work Packages/Tasks.

Haulage Requirements - select to calculate the haulage requirements. See Haulage Analysis Overview.

Compare schedules - select to compare schedules. See Compare Shedules.

Auto-assign resources - select to auto-assign resources. This option is disabled in the Crosstab View and Resource Bar Chart. See Auto-assign Resources.

Send mail - see Send Mail.

Unprotect Data - see Unprotect Data.

Group Dependencies Generator - this option is disabled in the Crosstab View and Resource Bar Chart. See Group Dependencies Generator.

Baselines

Baseline 1 - select baseline to load into 'Baseline 1' fields.

Baseline 2 - select baseline to load into 'Baseline 2' fields.

Baseline Manager - select this option to set baselines for the project. It is possible to set and save multiple baselines. See Manage baselines.
