Configure Maximum Side Length Ratios
In MSO, stope maximum side length settings control the elongation of stope shapes along their vertical and horizontal directions. This ensures the shapes remain compact and practical, limiting extremely long or tall geometries that could be unmineable or geotechnically unstable.
Activity steps
-
Define your stope strike settings on the Shapes screen..
-
Expand the Stope Maximum Side Length Ratios command group.
-
Enter a Top to Bottom value to set the maximum allowed vertical side ratio (height of shape versus width). Lower values lead to more robust constraint of tall shapes.
-
Enter a Front to Back value to set the maximum allowed stope elongation in the direction of propagation. This limits horizontal stope stretching.
-
Save your settings.
