Dilution

Use the Dilution screen to simulate and control overbreak and waste inclusion in stope designs. Proper dilution modeling is essential to generate realistic and mineable shapes that reflect operational realities.

This tab allows you to define the amount, type, and position of dilution around stope shapes, using various estimation methods. The goal is to ensure that the optimization not only targets grade and geometry but also respects expected operational losses or inclusions.

To open this screen:

Select the Report ribbon.
Click Mineable Shapes (New).
Toggle the display of the Manager sidebar using Scenarios >> Manager.
Select or create a scenario.
Select Optimization>> Dilution.
