Post Processing

The Post Processing screen provides a set of tools that apply additional refinement steps after the initial stope optimization has been completed. These operations do not influence the optimization algorithm itself but are instead applied to the output stope shapes to ensure they meet operational, geotechnical, or scheduling requirements.

Post-processing adjustments are performed on the final stope solids, allowing users to split, smooth, merge, cut, or reshape stopes based on practical constraints. These tools are especially useful for preparing MSO outputs for mine planning stages such as scheduling, development design, and production sequencing.

These steps are optional but can significantly enhance the usability and compliance of the MSO shapes with downstream engineering needs.

To open this screen:

  1. Select the Report ribbon.

  2. Click Mineable Shapes (New).

  3. Toggle the display of the Manager sidebar using Scenarios >> Manager.

  4. Select or create a scenario.

  5. Select Optimization >> Post Processing.
