User Interface Customisation
This section describes user interface customisation typically set up during MineMarket implementation.
Note: User group configuration also impacts the user interface. For example, which ribbon menus display and in which order, which icons display on the ribbon menu, and which tabs and context menu options display on various screens. See User Groups.
Units of Measure
The MineMarket Server creates default Units of Measure; however, you can choose to hide units of measure in the MineMarket user interface. You can also edit unit conversion factors if required.
Analyte Measurement Basis
Analytes are measured in a basis; for example, 'wet' or 'dry'. However, all analyte values are stored internally on an As Received ('wet') basis. You can rename bases and create new bases if required. See Analyte Measurement Basis.
Drop-down List Items
MineMarket includes many default Text Lists. These text lists display in some drop-down lists in the MineMarket user interface. You can customise any text list and you can create new text lists.
Many drop-down lists display objects that you create in MineMarket. For example, when you specify the bank details for an organisation, you can select a bank from the banks that you have set up in the Bank Editor.
Organisation roles customise some drop-down lists. You can assign roles to organisations and internal companies, which makes the organisation or company selectable in contexts applicable to those roles. For example, organisations with the Umpire role can be umpires in assay exchanges. See Create an Organisation Role.
Status Definitions
Status Definitions can control whether some objects are editable or selectable in different statuses. You can configure statuses and status links as required.
Calculated Expressions
Expressions can be used to calculate values that cannot be calculated with standard MineMarket fields. Use the Expressions for Custom Calculations to create and test expressions.
Translations
You can import and edit Translations to translate or edit any text in the MineMarket user interface. For example, in some implementations, the word 'element' is preferred instead of 'analyte'.
Alerts
Alerts are pop-up messages that inform users that an action is required for a MineMarket object. Alerts can also be emailed to specified users. Alerts are configured using SQL queries of the MineMarket database.
Historical Data
Historical Data is a group of values that apply to an object at a point in time. You can configure templates for historical data entry.
