In the Schedule Selected Blocks dialog, select the Material Routes tab.
The Schedule Selected Blocks dialog's Material Routes tab is used to confirm and refine the material routes parameters for the selected block(s).
Field Details:
The following fields are available in this dialog:
Period: select a period from the dropdown.
Bench Haul Factor: enter a value; the default value of '1' represents a straight line between the selected block and the Bench Exit; choose a suitable value >1 for non straight-line haul paths.
Use Previous Route: click this button to use the parameters from the previously defined material route.
Material Routes grid: this grid lists the material categories and their associated destination, haul truck and haul route parameters.

Material Routes Grid Parameters
The Haul Truck classes that are available in the drop down lists will depend on the Haul Truck Settings. Certain combinations of Loaders and Haul Truck classes can be set to model the typical fleet configurations of the site. For instance, certain combinations may not be allowed due to poor matching of loader capacity with haul truck capacity.
The Bench Exit will be automatically selected based on the logic that the Bench Exits on the current Bench will be considered first and the nearest one will be selected. The user can then modify this selection if required. Only bench exits available to the scheduled blocks (based on existing constraints and the vertical search tolerance) will be available for selection.
If you change the Vertical search tolerance (Scheduling Setup | Haul Routes | Bench Exits) and this invalidates a previously set bench exit, it will be highlighted on this screen in red.
The Ramp Sector will be chosen based on the selected Bench Exit and the Pit Exits that are linked to the chosen Destination. These must be set up beforehand in Haul Route Settings such that there is a valid route for each Destination of each material Category on every Bench in the schedule. An alternative Ramp Sector can be selected if an alternative haul route exists.
The Surface Sector is selected from the chosen Pit Exit and Destination. As with the Ramp Sector, the Pit Exit is chosen on the basis of the shortest cycle time. An alternative Surface Sector can be selected if an alternative haul route exists.
The Dump Sector is optional and is selected from the drop down list of possible Dump Sectors for the given Destination. The Dump haul can also be modelled by entering an initial cycle time and an incremental cycle time in the Haul Route Settings.
The Truck Hours will be shown for the selected haul truck class and haul route. Changing any of the above parameters will change the haul truck hours.
Where Set All is shown in the TOTAL row the value can be selected from a drop down list. For example the drop down list for Haul Truck might include Cat789C and Cat793C. If Cat789C is selected then the Haul Truck class for all Categories will be set to Cat789C.
To allow for bench haul routes that are not a straight line between the Block and the Bench Exit a Bench Haul Factor has been added that will compensate for this. The default factor is 1.0 and should be increased as the route gets longer.
The calculated haul cycle time for the bench haul is as follows: Travel Time (one way) = [Haul Distance x Bench Haul Factor] / Vehicle Speed
