Simulation Generation
Simulation generation is the first process in running a Conditional Simulation. The process involves setting the parameters for the simulation and then running it.
Before inserting a Conditional Simulation component, ensure you have loaded point data (see Load Data) and inserted the relevant variogram models (see Generating Variograms).
Note: Variograms must have a Normal Scores transformation applied to them to be used for conditional simulation. If the required variograms are not present, or they have not had the Normal Scores transformation applied, then new variogram models are inserted in the relevant places by the simulation. You need to complete the variogram modelling process before running the conditional simulation, because the direction chosen impacts the continuity directions in the simulation.
The simulation generation process follows the general steps outlined below.
Activity Steps
- Insert and configure Variogram Models.
- Insert Conditional Simulation component under the Data Loader Component containing point data.
- Configure Conditional Simulation Properties.
- Configure Conditional Simulation Reblocking Properties.
- Configure Simulation Search Properties.
- Configure Conditional Simulation Boundary Properties.
- Configure Conditional Simulation Results Export Properties.
- Run the simulation by clicking Update Component on the Main or Side toolbar.
