(Resource) Bar Chart Options: Display

To display this screen:

Display the Bar Chart Options screen or Resource Bar Chart Options screen and select the Display tab. The controls for both screens are identical.

Decide what information is displayed in the Gantt Chart Area or a resource bar chart.

The upper section of the screen allows you to show or hide particular chart elements, whilst the lower table lets you specify how field values are presented.

The following options are available. Items can be toggled on or off:

Display bars	Check to have the chart area display bars that represent task duration. Default: Checked.
Display field values	Check to have the chart area display bars with the values of the selected field. The following options are available: Values in line with bars Full height bars (values inside) Values below bars See the entry for Field, below. You can select this field as well as the Display bars field. Default: Unchecked. Note: If this field is selected, the fields Only draw outline when showing field values and Display legends of fields activate.
Bar Border	Toggle to switch on/off the border around each chart bar.
Bar Shadow	Toggle to switch on/off the shadow below each chart bar.
Display legends of fields	Select this field to display a column with a legend of the fields for which you are displaying the values. Note: This field is available only if Display field values is selected.'
Exclude Filtered/Selected Summaries	Select this field to hide the summary bars for fields that are excluded using a selected filter.
Roll up from lowest level	If checked, bars are consolidated for all subordinate items into a single bar. Note: This option is also available on the Editing ribbon.

Field Values Display

The table at the bottom of the screen lets you decide which field values appear on the chart.

Field	The field for which the field values are going to be displayed in the chart bars.
Title	Specifies a title for the selected field. Note: This field is for information only - you cannot display the contents of this field.
Format	Specifies the format of the field. Select a valid value from the drop-down list. Note: The number of options available depends on the type of the Field selected.
Scale	Specifies the scale for the values of the field being displayed. Select a valid value from the drop-down list. By default, the value is Units, which represents a scaling factor of 1, meaning that field values remain unchanged in the Gantt chart. Note: If you need customized scaling, you must select Custom and then enter the required value in the Scale Value.
Scale Value	Specifies your customized scaling value. Note: If you enter a value in this column while the Scale is set to a value other than Custom, the value of Scale is automatically set to Custom.
Align	Specifies the alignment of the field value. Select a valid value from the drop-down list.
Num. Format	See Field Formats.
Decimals	Specifies the number of decimals to be displayed. Note: You can only select this option if you specify `1234.30` or `1,234.30` in Num. Format.
