Show subtasks – Show the sub-tasks of the currently selected task(s). The summary bar for the selected group is broken into the individual Gantt task bars.

Hide subtasks – Hide the sub-tasks of the currently selected task(s) and show the summary bar only.

Show all subtasks – Open all levels of sub-tasks of the selected task(s). All tasks are displayed, including the summary bar if set in the Bar Chart Options.

Roll-up – For each group defined, each Gantt bar in the group is added together to form a single time frame for the completion of the group.

Always roll up subtasks – This setting affects how summary bars are displayed. If this setting is off, then summary bars will be shown as one contiguous bar. If this setting is switched on, then summary bars (when rolled up) will show the individual sub-tasks rolled up onto a single line. Specifically, the Hide Subtasks function will work in the same way as Roll up onto summary row.

Roll up from lowest level – If checked, bars are consolidated for all subordinate items into a single bar.

Note: This option is also available on the (Resource) Bar Chart Options: Display screen.
