Format Ribbon


The Format ribbon offers a range of options for managing how your application displays, default data formats and so on. What's shown here varies depending on the selection of either Bar Chart, Crosstab or Resource Bar Chart.

Group Description
Setup Layouts

Task Bar Chart ONLY

Task Table Layout – Set up the task table layout. The user can set a range of fields and dimensions that are to be included in the Task Table.

Default Field Formats – Set up default formats for all fields.

Bar Chart Layout – Set up the bar chart layout. The user can select the Gantt bars to be displayed, their colour, symbol, or pattern.

Setup Layouts

Crosstab View ONLY

 

Cross Tab Table Layout – Select the appearance of the reported totaled fields in the Crosstab reports.

Default Field Formats – Set up default formats for all fields.

Cross Tab View Layout – Set up the Crosstab View layout.

Setup Layouts

Resource Bar Chart ONLY

 

Resource Table Layout – Set up the resource table layout.

Resource Bar Chart Layout – Set up the resource bar chart layout.

Format

Crosstab View ONLY

Cross Tab (Text) – Select this option to Display tabular text values in the Crosstab View. To cancel this view the user will need to select one of the other options available.

Histogram of totaled fields – Select this option to Display a single histogram of selected totaled fields in the Crosstab view.

Histogram per row – Select this option to Display one histogram per row in the Crosstab view, i.e. one histogram for each item in the Crosstab view table. This is the default setting for the Crosstab. 

Filtering

Crosstab View and Resource Bar Chart ONLY

All tasks – Change the totaled/resource fields to display values for ALL tasks.

Selected tasks – Change the totaled/resource fields to display values for SELECTED tasks only.

Filtered tasks – Change the totaled/resource fields to display values for FILTERED tasks only.

Project

Timescale – Within an DTS Project the user can set the detailed information that is stored within the date bar.

Status Bar – The six panels of the Status bar display information about the tasks in your DTS project. The user is able to customise the screen view using the Status bar settings.

Labels – Set up the task tooltip definition. Users can select the fields to display in the tooltip. This option is disabled in the Crosstab View and Resource Bar Chart.

Timeline – Display a high-level timeline overview of the schedule. This option is disabled in the Crosstab View and Resource Bar Chart.

Column

Title – Change the selected column's title (heading).

Width – Change the selected column's width.

Column Format – Change the selected column's format.

Alignment – Change the alignment of the selected column's text to left-align, center or right-align. The alignment does not apply to the Name column.

Decimals – Increase or decrease the number of decimal places to display for the selected field.
