Define Head Grade Constraints (Advanced)
Head grade constraints can be used to model deposits where blending or process performance depends on maintaining a certain feed grade. All settings are optional.
If used these settings ensure the average head grade of a stope shape meets a minimum requirement, even if the shape is above cut off.
Activity steps
-
Create or select a scenario.
-
Configure a block model.
-
Display the Economics screen.
-
Expand the Head Grade (Advanced) control group.
-
Choose a Method:
-
Discrete – Apply a fixed value as the minimum allowable head grade (for example, 1.0 g/t).
-
Curve Table – Read a head grade target from a lookup table, typically based on zone or domain.
-
From Block Model – Read a head grade target from a designated field in the block model, allowing per-block variability.
Note: Negative cut off and head grade values are permitted.
