Connecting to a Remote Server

  1. In the main menu, select Tools | Remote Server Options...

  2. In the Options dialog, Remote Servers tab, select the Use Remote Servers check box; the server list and its control buttons will become active.

  3. Click on the Broadcast... button. This searches the local network for network license servers, and adds any found to the Servers list.

  4. In the Broadcast Results dialog, select the server name(s) to display, and click OK:

  5. The servers are added to the Servers box in the Options dialog, Remote Servers tab.

    Alternatively, if you are accessing cloud storage, type the URL of the remote host into the Server name field, along with a port that has two-way traffic enabled.

Use the control buttons to edit the list, or to change the order of the servers.

 

  1. In the Options dialog, click Apply or OK.
