Create a Dependency Group

It can be useful to create multiple, related dependencies at once.

To create a dependency group:

1. Select the tasks in the spreadsheet. You can do this by dragging the mouse over neighbouring tasks, or using SHIFT to pick the first/last task in the list. You can also use CTRL to pick tasks independently.
2. Do one of the following:
   • Right-click a selected task and select Tools >> Add Dependencies.

   • Home ribbon >> Editing >> Link.

   The Task Dependency screen displays.

3. On the Task Dependency screen, specify the Type, Calendar, Lag and Layer. See Task Dependency.
4. Click OK to create the dependencies (the same dependency is applied to all selected tasks) and update the Gantt view.

Note: The direction in which you select the tasks determine the direction in which the dependencies is created, for example, select from bottom up will sequentially link the tasks from the bottom most up.
