Crosstab Options: Totaled Fields

To access this screen:

Select the fields to display in the Crosstab report, and configure their appearance.

Activity steps

  1. Display the Totaled Fields screen.

  2. Select a Field to display in the Crosstab report. You can select a Production Field or a Summary Field.

  3. If you have defined a Destination in Project Settings, you can select it here. The option <All> refers to the extraction of material at the source, whereas any other destination you pick from the list refers specifically to that destination. The selected destination together with the type of field selected in the Field list has an impact on the options available in the Format list.

    See Destinations.

  4. Enter a Title for the field.

Note: If you add a title, this value overwrites the default heading of the field in the Crosstab header.

  5. Specify the Format of the field. The values shown in this list depend on the type of Field selected previously and can be one of the following:

    • For a non-weighted field, Period Total represents the sum of values in any period coming from the source. For non-weighted production fields and any other numeric fields . If the destination is a stock pile, this represents the sum of values going to the stockpile. If the destination is a plant it represents the sum of values going through the plant.

    • For a weighted field, Period Total represents the total quantity of the weighted production field in any period (it is the sum of "grade X quantity" in the period).

  6. Specify the Scale for the values of the field being displayed. By default, the value is Units, which represents a scaling factor of 1, meaning that field values remain unchanged.

Note: If you need customized scaling, you must select Custom and then enter the required value in the Scale Value cell. Conversely, if you enter a value into this field, Custom is set automatically.

  7. Specifies which tasks values to accumulate using Apply to.

    • All Tasks – Accumulate all tasks in the project.

    • Filtered Tasks – Accumulate only those tasks in the current filter.

    • Selected Tasks – Accumulate only those tasks currently selected in the Task Table.

  8. Choose the Alignment of values.

  9. Select the Num. Format for displaying numeric values.

  10. Click into the Band Color cell to pick a colour to display chart bars.

  11. Specify the number of Decimals to be displayed.

Note: You can only set this if you specify 1234.30 or 1,234.30 in Num. Format.

  12. Decide how the chart data will Display (Graph, Graph+Table or Table).

  13. Select the Style of the histogram in the Crosstab area. Choose a colour and texture.
  14. Decide if values are shown as independent bars, or Stacked on top of each other.

  15. Optionally, select the data Groupto which the total applies. See Task Grouping.
