Destination Processing Capacity

To access this screen:

  • On the Scheduling Setup screen, select any of the items in the Destinations menu group, including existing destinations.

  • On the Update Schedule screen, select the browse button next to Destinations (restricted menus system, limited functionality is available).

This topic relates to functionality found on the Destination General Settings screen as the "Processing Capacity (per period) command group. This area updates as different destinations are selected.

A destination’s Processing Capacity affects how material is treated during scheduling. Capacity is specified as the mass or volume of material that can be sent to the destination in a period. The mass unit depends on the data set and is usually tonnes.

Activity steps:

  1. Display the Destination Processing Capacity screen.
  2. To set no capacity limitations, select Unlimited.
  3. To set an upper capacity limit, select Limited To.
  4. To require a specific amount to be met before the destination receives scheduled material, select Meet Exactly.
  5. If you selected Limited To or Meet Exactly, enter a value in Capacity. Select Tonnes or Volume to confirm the unit.
  6. If required, enter values in Per and Time Unit to define the time basis for the capacity.
  7. To vary capacity over time, select Capacity bounds by period.

Note: Capacity bounds allow you to enter the maximum to be varied with time by specifying the End Time in terms of the maximum Period number that the value applies to. For instance if the End Time is 5 in row 1 and 100 in row 2 of the Capacity Bounds grid then the first value is applied from Period 1 to 5 and the second value is applied from Period 6 to 100.

  8. In the Capacity Bounds grid, enter an End Period and enable and enter Minimum and or Maximum values as required.
