Dumping Parameters
To access this screen:
-
Activate the Schedule ribbon and select Setup. Select any haul truck item on the left.
-
On the Update Schedule screen, enable the Haul Trucks option and click Browse.
The Dumping control group is used to define the dumping times for each haul truck class. These form part of the settings on the General Settings screen for each truck.
Calculating the Dump Cycle Time
The total dumping time at a destination is made up of:
-
Initial cycle time from destination entry point to dump point (minutes).
-
Queuing time at the dump point (minutes).
-
Dump time (minutes).
Dumping Calculation Example
For example if the initial cycle time is 10.0 mins, incremental cycle time is 0.0005 mins/Kt, queuing time is 0.3 mins and dump time is 0.7 mins then the dump cycle time is calculated as follows:
Dump Cycle Time (mins) = 10.0 + 1,000 x 0.0005 + 0.3 + 0.7 = 11.5 mins
If the destination is not a dump or stockpile then the initial cycle time and incremental cycle time may be set to zero as they do not apply.
It is also possible to define a dump sector for a destination.
Activity steps:
- Display the Dumping Parameters screen.
- In Destination, review the destination name, which is automatically derived from the destinations list. For more information, see Configuring Destinations.
- In Init.Cycle (mins), enter the initial cycle time (minutes) for the selected truck to dump at the listed destination.
- In Inc.Cycle (mins), enter the incremental cycle time (minutes) for the selected truck to dump at the listed destination.
- In Queue (mins), enter the queue time (minutes) for the selected truck to dump at the listed destination.
- In Dump (mins), enter the dump time (minutes) for the selected truck to dump at the listed destination.
