Stockpile General Settings

To access this screen:

  • On the Scheduling Setup screen, select or add a stockpile destination type and enable the Stockpile Settings tab.

Use the Stockpile General Settings screen to define general stockpile settings.

The Stockpile Settings screen is used to define the general details for a stockpile. It represents some of the settings defined for a stockpile destination type.

Activity steps:

  1. Display the Stockpile General Settings screen.
  2. Review Name (read-only) to confirm the unique name for the stockpile.
  3. Review BLOCKID (read-only) to confirm the unique mining block identifier for the stockpile.
  4. In Maximum Reclaim, enter a mass value (tonnes) for the maximum reclaim rate per scheduling period.
  5. Define the reclaim period as days, weeks, years, or (by default) a nominated scheduling period.
  6. Select Prefer to mine later if the stockpile is to be mined after any available mining block material.
  7. In Reclaim Loaders, specify which defined loader or loaders are permitted to reclaim from the current stockpile.
  8. Define loaders as described here, and aim to minimise movement in and out of the pit as the loader goes between reclaim and in-pit mining.
  9. In Reclaim Destinations, define allowable destinations for the stockpile’s material.
  10. In the reclaim destinations list, review Destination (read-only) to confirm the unique name for each destination.
  11. For each destination, set Enabled to YES to allow the destination, or NO (default) to prevent stockpile material going to that destination.
  12. For each destination, enter a Weighting value (typically 0 to 10) if you use weighting.

Note: When the Blend function is used, the values in Weighting are used as weighting factors.

  13. Use low values to indicate a low priority, and increase weighting if you want more of a certain category.
  14. If you want more material to go to a destination, increase all weighting factors for that destination relative to other destinations.
