Haul Routes: Pit Exits

Define haul route pit exit node parameters

Pit Exits

To access these functions:

  • Using the Scheduling Setupdialog, select the Haul Routes icon on the left. Select the Pit Exits tab.

The Pit Exits tab is used to add and delete pit exit nodes; select and save node objects. It is part of a collection of settings used to define haul routes.

Adding a Pit Exit

  1. Click Add in the Pit Exits  tab,

  2. In the Pit Exits grid , define the required parameters.

The location of the Bench Exit can be entered in terms of its X, Y and Z co-ordinates or it can be read from a Datamine object that has been loaded into the Design window (see below).

At least one Pit Exit must be defined by its Pit Exit ID in order for a haul route to be constructed from the Block to the Destination. The Pit Exit is only valid if the Pushback number for the Block being scheduled matches the Pushback number in the Pit Exits table. This allows for the fact that Pit Exits will be mined out as the pit expands and Pit Exits will only become available when a Pushback commences.

If a Pit Exit is to be used by Blocks that belong to a number of Pushbacks then the Pit Exit will be repeated for each Pushback.

Selecting Existing Pit Exits Points

  1. Click Select Object in the Pit Exits  tab,

  2. In the Select Object dialog, select the required node points file.

Please see here for more information on using node point files.
